About: Adelehin Ijasan

I’ve been fortunate to pursue the two things I love most: crafting speculative fiction and performing eye surgery. I’m a writer and a consultant ophthalmologist.

My name is Adelehin Ijasan. My short fiction has appeared in Lightspeed, Fiyah, IZ Digital, Drabblecast, The Year’s Best African Speculative Fiction, The Year’s Top AI and Robot
Stories, and other venues. I’m also one of the co-creators of the Sauútiverse, a shared sci-fi/fantasy world, with stories forthcoming in Sauúti Terrors and elsewhere.

My work has been nominated for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize, the Nommo Award, and the BSFA Award.
